About Vicki Landes

Spanning 18 years, my background in the field of health and human services has offered me experience with a wide variety of holistic healing modalities. I am both a social worker and hands-on healer, and I use skills and experiences from both arenas in my work. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, hospices, and integrative medical clinics.
I received my Master’s degree in social work in 1993 and licensure in 1996, and then began studying hands-on healing work. While doing hospice work I was introduced to a form of hands-on healing that allowed me to relate to my clients verbally and soothe them physically. This led to further study and my introduction to Jin Shin Jyutsu, the Japanese acupressure I practice today.
Through a thorough health assessment process, I assist my clients in viewing their health on all levels – physical, emotional, and spiritual. Together we determine the best plan to achieve all-encompassing healing, including referrals to other practitioners as needed. In this way, care is truly customized to the unique needs of each individual client.
I believe strongly in empowering clients to learn self-care tools that they can incorporate into their daily lives. I am a Certified Lifestyle Educator and teach basic nutrition, exercise programming, and stress management including Jin Shin Jyutsu self-application.
