What People Are Saying About the Book on Amazon

“The Caregiver’s Guide to Cancer” is the practical guide to navigating the uncertain waters associated with caregiving for a loved one diagnosed with cancer. The author, Victoria Landes, brings decades of professional and personal experience to this topic. Beginning with an easily understandable description of cancer, it follows with seemingly every aspect of the disease and treatment. I write as a three-time survivor of cancer and a recipient of my partner’s caregiving. I am quite familiar with the demands required of the caregiver. The journey is a rough one and so often the focus goes largely to the patient, while the caregiver who is also carrying a very heavy load stays in the background. This book would have been a godsend for us. As a step-by-step map of treatment, financial guidance, and end-of-life decision-making, this book offers easily accessible assistance approached with respect and compassion. - Julie

The Caregiver’s Guide to Cancer is a wealth of knowledge in an easy-to-read format which I appreciate. As a Registered Nurse and as someone who lost a family member to cancer, I can’t say enough about how important this book is. Every Oncology Physician, Oncology Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, and Medical Team Member should have a copy in their possession as a resource. Victoria Landes outlines specific questions to ask the medical team. It touches on how to have conversations with your loved one during this challenging time. You will find valuable resources for both you as the caregiver; for the person you’re caring for and for others who have been diagnosed and reach out to you. There are tips on how to navigate and balance your own well-being and so much more. I’ve waited for a book like this for a long time. I highly recommend this book to caregivers, family members, friends, and all medical staff. Thank you Victoria Landes for writing this comprehensive guide to help those on their journey. - VAC
